Lunch & Supper
The produce of the Auvergne is fabulous. World famous cheeses, cured meats, luscious fruits and flavoursome vegetables - it is truly a pleasure to create dishes and share meals with our guests. Using the freshest local ingredients our dishes are inspired by the seasons, the local market and our own home-grown produce. Sam is an award winning chef and unpasteurised cheese aficionado who is also extremely experienced in catering for different dietary requirements (such as gluten-free, vegan, locavore, lactose intolerant) and special requests.
We first started our table d'hote at the house in 2016 and to our surprise, began to build a reputation for fresh, inventive dishes. As the demand grew, we realised that we needed a larger table, and we are delighted to say that in early 2022, we finally opened a small restaurant in the heart of Olliergues - just a few minutes walk from the house.
Terroir 63 is open all year round for lunch - Monday to Sunday - and serves a small menu comprising of fresh and local produce. Evening meals are also available Thursday to Saturday (Monday to Sunday in summer) but with the option to reserve our table d'hote at the house whenever the restaurant is closed!

'Cream Tea', a fisherman's picnic
and midnight snacks ...
Possibly the only homemade clotted cream to be had in France! We need a couple of days notice to make our clotted cream with local Olliergues unpasteurized milk - perfect with homemade scones, jam, and butter served in the garden for afternoon tea.
We can also organize picnic baskets for fishing trips, bicycle and balloon rides or for a long drive (north or south!). If you arrive late in the evening, we can prepare a midnight feast of homemade bread, cheese and ham on request to keep you going until breakfast. With just a little notice, it will be ready for you on arrival with perhaps a glass of house wine or a cold bottle of beer!
